Of course watching the Nasdaq is better since it is the indicator
of the direction of the Technology market. If the big tech stocks are
doing well then they move the market.

Unless you corrolate moves in KO, WalMart, Sears, MCD, Philip Morris, etc as a good guide to the direction of the tech stocks. IBM and HP dragged the DJIA down but the Consumer, financials and cyclicals pulled it up.

Not sure if looking at the Nasdaq with 5 stock MSFT, CSCO, INTC,
WCOM,DELL accounting for 20% of the value is a better idea anyway.??
