Mike, I think that the e-mail makes alot of sense concerning central bank policy, and clears up in my mind what went on at the meeting with CLinton.

Here was a response to that email:

Very interesting Roger.

This jibes with the view of a Chinese colleague, who has extensive, high
level contacts in China, including at the Bank of China. Until recently,
he consistently maintained that China would not devalue. However, he has
now changed his tune and believes China will devalue within the next few
months. Look for "flight to quality" trades.

recent decrease in European rates.

So, inflation will not be rising - our interest rates probably will decrease further. But
corporate earnings should sink much farther as our trade deficit balloons to the
moon. Suggests that oil should slowly head back down.~~
