I think we are in agreement. I'm not saying pc demand is slowing per se, I guess I wondering if the demand is being pushed out. I think that could set the boxmakers up for an extremely good 4th qtr (more than expectations).

I'm not watching CNBC right now, but we need to be careful about which pc's are in high demand....sub 1000? Great! As you pointed out in your Dad's situation, lot's of dissatisfied sub 1000 pc buyers out there are a ready market for the next cycle. BTW, I made the argument months ago that long term the sub 1000 machines would eventually be good for boxmakers as it introduced pc's to a whole new market, while conceding that near term that profits would be hurt. I thought of them as "loss leaders" getting new customers in the store and create a whole new customer base. Everything I read indicated that the $1000 price point was a major barrier to a lot of consumers and that it had to be broken to open up the market.

Yeah, I think we're preaching to the choir here<g>
