Michael,
If a brokerage money market account (like Fidelity's) is based in P1 securities, is it a safe place to put cash? Could a run on associated Fido mutual funds, or an inability to collect margin loans, ever put the money market fund in danger?
Thanks,
/Kit

Michael,
Would you give a quick summary of where you think value lies in the hard asset/resource investment arena? For example, are any of your favorite oil stocks good long term buys now? Or is platinum, gold, silver, or DeBeers a better deal right now?
Thanks,
/Kit

MB and Wayne:

Like both of you, I'm of the opinion that this thing is not going to end in tears, it is going to end in screams of anguish. To be blunt, I am more than worried. I suspect that this one makes 1929 look like a picnic. Every set of stats that any of us look at is a prescription for a cremation.

Incidentally, I cannot remember when I've ever seen such bullish determination and complete blind faith on the part of "investors" since I got into the market.

Best, Earlie
