I see your point about the K7 scaling to 1000MHz on .25 because they are bringing it to market at the lowest common denominator and it should scale from there. On the other hand, this looks like a real reach and will have the Intel faithful up in arms and laughs.
Sounds good but I'll be happy to see a K7 at 600 at introduction and worry about it from there.

Scumbria, you are failing to think before you post. These comparisons to the Alpha are faulty at best, misleading at worst.

Even AMD doesn't think they can achieve 1 GHz on even a 0.18 micron process until the end of 2000. This isn't the Alpha, no matter how hard you hope. Why do you think that if Alpha can do it, anyone can?
