I said i wouldn't mention slavery, but evidently I lied. Re slavery in the Old Testament -- which OT Jesus endorsed in whole (!): "Domestic slavery, of the sort illustrated by the Abraham story, was supplemented by enslavement of entire societies, sometimes by economic measures, sometimes by conquest... the clearest case of mass economic enslavement is the legend of Joseph's purchase of the Egyptians...."
