Company Press Release

Multex Investor Network Launches Affiliate Program

NEW YORK--(BUSINESSS WIRE)--April 13, 1999--Multex.com (NASDAQ:MLTX - news) today announced the launch of the Multex Investor Network affiliate program.

Through this program, the Multex Investor Network, a leading online investment research site for individual investors, enables affiliate partners to provide full service brokerage research to their users. The program has already signed a dozen charter members, including PC Quote. Each time a member or visitor from an affiliate site purchases a research report, the affiliate site earns up to 20% of the purchase price in sales commission.

The Multex Investor Network affiliate program allows financial Web sites to offer a more complete set of offerings to their users. In addition to providing their audience with brokerage research reports, affiliate sites can receive a daily content feed containing three to four articles highlighting new buys, recent research reports or industry trends. Through this content feed, affiliate sites can use the program to bolster their site's content, in addition to generating revenue from the sale of research reports. The affiliate program also offers several other unique linking methods, including search boxes and ticker-driven links that take the user directly to a list of the most recent research reports available on a company.

''Financial Web sites need sources of outstanding content to draw in new users and keep the existing ones coming back,'' said Isaak Karaev, President and CEO of Multex.com. ''The Multex Investor Network affiliate program feeds original content to our affiliate partners, as well as enables them to link contextually to hundreds of thousands of brokerage research reports.''

''This agreement is another example of our commitment to financial content,'' said Jim R. Porter, PC Quote Chairman and CEO. ''We are always striving to provide investors with one-stop information shopping--giving them the tools they need to make sound investment decisions. The in-depth financial research contributed by the Multex Investor Network serves as an excellent compliment to our existing offerings.''

Located at www.multexinvestor.com, the Multex Investor Network is also available through other online portals and finance affinity sites, including: America Online, CNNfn, CBS MarketWatch, Edgar-Online, Hoover's and Quote.com. The new affiliate program is directly accessible at multexinvestor.com.
