elepet,
Looked at transaction log for the trades today. IT gave the 10 largest trades. They were 900,000 shares down to 426,000 shares. All were at $24 except the two smallest. So I'm betting the eight largest trades were buys on the up tick.

Dear elepet: I dont know, but I SUSPECT it is short term traders looking for a "Dead Cat" bounce back to about 28 maybe 30. Reason? Well, CPQ probably overstated the decline in earnings by a couple cents (that is not unusual in these cases) and when earnings finally released stock could take a bounce up. BUT, IMHO this stock has been wrecked and it will be some time (if ever) we see it moving strongly above 30. JDN
