I like how CNN is playing up the "strategic bridge" aspect. Gimmee a break! Gosh, I wonder why those photos aren't on the nightly news? Permit me, but I'm in a bad mood this morning. Right after i got to work, my wife(an artist) called me from a gas station up in the hills. Seems she had stopped on the side of the road to photograph a breadfruit tree for a painting she is doing. Some *sshole came by and parked right up the road and came down the hiway on foot. She got scared and jumped back in the car. he started trying to break in and kept putting himself in front of the car so she couldn't drive off without running over him. After 10 minutes of this , she finally got away, he chased her in his car with his wife(no less) to the gas station. I got there the same time as the cops. The three of them proceeded to grill my wife about why she ran over his foot!(a lie, the cops refused to make him go to the hospital!). They let the psycho dude go! I finally had to call the police station and get the lieutenant to tell the cops to make a report. ..otherwise, they were just going to intimidate my wife into letting the matter drop or charge her with assault. So much for protect and serve...
