Those ads are pretty funny, but they're starting to attract the attention of the SEC for just that reason. Personally, I think it's a little irresponsible for those brokerage houses to give people the idea that investing is something that's guaranteed to make money and easier to do than brushing your teeth. Of course the ads are supposed to be tongue-in-cheek and obviously over the top, but they do conveniently leave out the fact that the market does have risk and that your investments might (God forbid) go down.
