The short-term market outlook can be best evaluated in this sense...

When an established company (say a resource company) makes a mineral discovery, the anticipated future earnings/profit can be quantified once the size of the discovery is established by using a few basic market assumptions. Likewise, when a manufacturing company cuts a supply deal, the anticipated earnings/profit can be calculated and easily reflected (in theory at least) into the stock valuation.

The issue we are dealing with here (similar to Internet companies) is that the technology is new, the potential for applications are huge and it is difficult to place a representative valuation on the stock.

I think these basic things will be reflected in the short and long term price of GLE:

1. Management - even without the SOFC's, the company was well run, profitable and working hard on developing new products and applications.

2. Integrity - GLE's management (i'm sure) would have had knowledge of the market significance of their SOFC breakthrough. Did the share price run up before the news release? No. This shows control and trust in the company. Let this continue.

3. Technology - GLE has made some very influential connections in the wonderful world of technology.

4. Workforce - Let's not forget the core of this company. Those employees involved with design and development have really got their stuff together. The production line has shown through the US Army heater ramp-up that they can produce. And i'm sure that there's a few cute secretaries around the office to keep up the morale and the paperwork.

5. Development Capital - there's money in the bank and there will be no difficulty in raising additional funds.

6. Commitment - the company has never failed to make a dividend payment on their preferred shares, even though there were some difficult times.

I sincerely hope that the long-standing believers will be rewarded for their perseverance. I also hope that the new believers truly recognize the significance of what is now happening. The markets will be volatile, the daytraders will play some havoc but the true-believers (new and old) will come through with smiles on their faces.

Well, I feel vindicated, to say the least. I don't want to sound over-exuberant, but after more people get wind of this story this weekend, this stock will gap up so sharply come Monday morning that people are going to s___ their pants.

Congratulations to all!
