Bill, Someone on this thread--was it you?--opined several weeks ago that HDSL might be more of a winner than most think. Seems like that might be the case, in reading that article. $61 for HDSL2 chipsets? Seems like you could implement HDSL2 for a low enough price to entice individuals to forego G.Lite, or cable modems. Gives a little more speed without the "crowd slowdown" effect. Any idea how a $61 chipset would translate into a finished installation, on cost? (Presumably one chipset for one-half a connection, home or central office, must be put in a box with various connections and paraphernalia, and must be installed.) But, with HDSL2 you need a visit from the telco, correct? ie., splitter? Best, JS
