Steven, Milwaukee has been treating and drying the solids from the sewage treatment plant and selling the product for at least 50 years. Apparently the waste from the breweries add value to the final product. Much of that beer is processed by the locals before contributed to the system. I recall one time that we had an abundance of tomato plants sprouting in our grass after an application. It seems that the seeds can survive the processing.

Now that I have made most of you eager to learn more about sewage treatment, here is a site to tell you everything that you wanted to know about Milorganite. I see that the city of Milwaukee has been selling it for 73 years.

I only remember it when someone mentions excreta, which seldom occurs in polite conversation.

On the contrary. It is often mentioned in polite conversation. We impolitic and boorish pussycats use different words.
