Oh, there is another point I forgot to make.

DLIA and IDTC has substantial earnings from their non-Internet business. DBCC, MALL, and ZD does not. The remaining business is valued more positively, augmented by increased EPS once the unprofitable subsidiary is spun off.

Backdoor ipo's will help the parent co stock if the parent's main business is compelling in its own right. I believe that is the case with both dlia and idtc, so I don't expect a sell off after the offering.
