Larry, thanks for the reply.

I had a couple stocks today with mental buy stops that blew past the stops; by the time I woke up the good entry was long gone.

I use, for some of my trades, a half baked gap strategy that does depend on seeing when the stocks are starting to move, and mental stops just aren't doing it for me.
