I got the following info when I went to W.K. Web Site and posted inquiry about IPO. If and when this IPO comes to market I sure want to get on
board that ship.

Investor Relations FAQ - March 1999
Will wirelessknowledge(tm) take the company public?
There has been much speculation as to whether the wirelessknowledge(tm)
executive team will take the company public. A Company's decision to conduct
a public offering depends on several factors ranging from performance,
market conditions, liquidity requirements and the disposition of the Board.
The Company plans on implementing a tactically sound strategy for an initial
public offering when market conditions are optimum. Our goal is to ensure
the timing is appropriate for our business objectives, our employees and our
investors.

If wirelessknowledge(tm) were to have a public offering, when could stock be
purchased?
We launched wirelessknowledge(tm) on November 10, 1998 and have in place an
executive team that will lead the Spring 1999 launch of the first service
offering aimed at the corporate enterprise market.

wirelessknowledge(tm) is a privately held corporation funded equally by
Microsoft and QUALCOMM giving us tremendous resources to fulfill our
mission. However, the Company's Board of Directors may elect at future date
to pursue other sources of financing to fulfill its business goals, which
may include the addition of strategic investors and an initial public
offering of its equity.

If wirelessknowledge(tm) goes public how would this affect current QUALCOMM
or Microsoft stockholders?
We cannot respond to questions based on speculation of a future initial
public offering.

Did anyone catch this at the end of the article that skip paul just posted:

In return for right to use Qualcomm's CDMA technology, Korean firms pay 5.25 percent of handset production costs and 6.0 percent of phone exchanges in royalties to the U.S. firm.

I didn't realize the royalty rate was common knowledge. What is "phone exchanges" supposed to mean?
