AOL may not be able to get Cable. It's too late for them. But they
got ADSL now by partnering with Bell Atlantic and SBC.

One must give them credit for doing a fine job building a business on old technology without spending much money create new technologies. It's a good business for now and probably will be for years to come in one way or another. Their stock reflects that, as it should.

But really... the time to "figure out the best means..." was a year or two ago for broadband. Not now. They may not be stupid, but they look a bit foolish to have been blindsided by this. So now they turn to lobbyists and lawyers to try to fix their mistake. Hmm...
