No problem Ben. I just picked this up from the site you posted and thought it was of interest as the mood and direction of CD Plus.com seems evident. They want to grow the business and plan to make the internet a significant part of their plans. The way to do this is to get listed on the TSE by acquiring a company who has cash and looking for a good business to get into. That's SBX.to. The pieces of the puzzle are coming together...yes?

TORONTO, Jan. 18 /CNW/ -

Wayne Albo of Rock Entertainment and David Cubitt of CD Plus.com are pleased to announce the merger of their companies. The combined entities will have over 100 stores to service the Canadian market and will be the leading secondary market music retailer in Canada. The combined company, to be called CD Plus.com Inc., will have five main divisions:

1) Mall locations -- which will be operated under the banner AVE Entertainment;

2) Street locations -- which will be operated under the banner of CD Plus.com and will include the sale of used music;

3) Internet Site -- which is at cdplus.com

4) Mail order division -- which will continue to support the successful CD Plus.com Catalogue;

5) Export division -- which will sell Canadian music on a world-wide basis.

The company intends to invest heavily in the Internet and to maintain and expand CD Plus.com's lead in this growing market, while linking this operation more closely to our store operations. We will aggressively market the CD Plus.com Internet site and have allocated over $1 million to enhance its capabilities.The Internet will be a primary focus of our business to both promote and sell music and related products. Mr. Cubitt and Mr. Birss, the principle shareholders of CD Plus.com, will become share holders in the combined company, adding their music expertise to the existing management team. ''The focus will be to brand both our mall and street location names and integrate the Internet with our retail outlets,''says Cubitt. ''We intend to continue to grow our retail operations as well as build up our Internet site and do not anticipate any store closures or job losses.''
