JBE here is a site that will give you a satisfactory solution of the Jesus squabble. It has many sections but here is main one on Jesus and Jews.

Good morning Joan,

You opened one of the most interesting chapters in the sad chronology of anit-Semitism -- religious rather than ethnic anti-Semitism. Specifically, we have been told repeatedly by any number of Christian theologians that the crucifixion and resurrection were fulfillments of prophecies. If that is the case, then Jesus' death was pre-ordained. How then can the instrumentality of God's will, in this case the Jews, have been vilified for carrying out the very act that God mandated? Had they demurred would they not have been guilty of questioning God's will? And yet, as you point out, any number of Christian theologians persisted in demonizing Jews for their supposed role in the crucifixion.

This logical inconsistency has always intrigued me.

TTFN,
CTC
