Under the terms of the agreement, Safeskin will supply an expanded line of privately labeled exam gloves to a larger base of business. In addition to General Medical, McKessonHBOC Medical Group's medical/surgical distribution business now includes Red Line Healthcare Corporation, Hawk Medical Supply, Inc., Atlantic Healthcare, as well as other McKessonHBOC Medical Group affiliates. The new agreement includes the full line of latex gloves covered under the original agreement, in addition to Safeskin's powder-free synthetic exam glove composed of nitrile.

"We are very pleased to expand our relationship with McKessonHBOC's Medical Group through this long-term, private label agreement," said Richard Jaffe, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Safeskin. "This partnership has important features that should help each company build a stronger future. Both McKessonHBOC and Safeskin have committed to expand their use of information technology and to share information. Over time, we believe these supply chain initiatives will enable each partner to realize cost savings through optimized product flow and to improve customer fill rates."
