Maybe another good day coming UP. Its amazing what a new week can bring after all the garbage the shorts slammed at Howard Pearl and the company. Hopefully Howard Pearls 12 year old past is ancient history. The stock price and alignment with industry leaders seems to be telling us this is the case.

Microforum [MCF:TSE] --Microsoft News Launches Stock

MCF looks like it could be on the verge (or is it already the midst?) of a sudden explosive move in share price similar to what we have seen in other Canadian listed e-stocks recently. The difference with MCF is that they have more than just a grand vision or hot-sounding URL. MCF has industry-accredited, award-winning products, clients like Ford and Sony and they will post revenues in the neighborhood of $30 million for FY1998. News today that Microsoft [MSFT:NASDAQ] had once again shown its confidence in MCF drove the stock up almost 50% as it gained $0.77 to $2.35 on volume of 2.8 million shares traded. It seems Microforum does not need to add ".com" to its name because it is a real internet company.

The latest announcement revealed that MCF subsidiary, iFront(TM), has been selected as one of just 25 Microsoft Certified Solution Providers (MCSPs) across North America to participate as a member of the Microsoft Commerce Partner Advisory Council. The nomination positions MCF among an elite group providing input to Microsoft as they move ahead with their vision of a corporate "Digital Nervous System" that will help companies quickly exchange information while providing them the tools to analyze that information and rapidly empower them to reach a conclusive decision. According to Microsoft, a digital nervous system is "the culmination of the next stage of the Information Revolution."

Coming on the heels of the Form 20-F filing in the U.S., news of the ever-strengthening relationship with Microsoft was easily enough to launch MCF's market into a frenzy, and with the investors anticipating further announcements including fourth-quarter results, we could see the activity continue through the coming weeks.

My guess is 2.61 . Im looking to buy more on any weakness.
These guys have a good a chance as any in the e-trade, and IMO the market is just starting to realize it.
Oh yes, I hope people are shorting it, will make the up move much more pronounced.
