Um, if Intel was going to prewarn it would have come weeks ago since they report earnings this Wednesday. One of the many things Intel does very well is play the analysts. It would be almost unthinkable for them to fall short without prewarnig. Look at CPQ, waiting very late, two weeks after the end of the quarter to warn of a huge shortfall, their credibility, what was left of it, it completely shot. I think Intel will make their numbers and possible beat them.
As for the rumbling about softness in PC sales I would suggest you go back a read the many fine posts on this thread discussing this "issue" over the past 4-5 weeks and make up you own mind as to whether this softness is something other than seasonal and/or company specific. Good luck and aloha.
