EBay prices 6.5 mln shares at $170 each

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 12 (Reuters) - Internet auctioneer EBay Inc said on Monday it priced its public offering of 6.5 million shares of common stock at $170.00 per share.

Of the shares offered, 4.25 million are being offered by the company and 2.25 million are being offered by certain stockholders, the company said in a statement.

Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter are acting as the lead underwriters for the offering.

EBay's stock closed down 6- to 176- Monday on Nasdaq.

I am sorry. It didn't get out today but they just announced the pricing of that 6.5 million shares --$170 a share.
