Don't go to the "advanced" tab. "temporary internet files" is on the screen you are looking at.

Warning: I deleted my temporary internet files and it screwed up ie. SI didn't work right after that. You might want to just set the cache to a small size.

Then again, my ie install never was quite right to begin with -- for example, I can't uninstall it.

tell us what browser and version you're using.

and as i recall, your post said you wanted to purge cache. netscape uses that term, but i believe ie calls it 'temporary internet files'.

and wily made a good suggestion to lower the days you keep the files. but if you want to delete them, that's not a problem.
