Here are the results..

Revenue up 71 percent from year ago, and earnings per share of .01 basic and diluted. A quick comparison to last quarter also shows a sequential growth in revenue over q4 98 of (16.8 - 15.01)/16.8 = over 10 percent. All in all a very strong quarter in my opinion.

Plano, TX - (Nasdaq: ENTU), the worldwide leader in managed public key infrastructure (PKI) solutions, today reported financial results for the first quarter of 1999.
Total revenues for the first quarter of fiscal 1999 increased 70% to $16.8 million, compared with $9.9 million for the same quarter last year. License revenues for the quarter increased 51% to $11.6 million, compared with $7.7 million for the first quarter of 1998. Service and maintenance revenues increased 136% to $5.2 million, compared with $2.2 million for the same quarter of 1998. Net income for the quarter was $0.3 million, or $0.01 per diluted share, compared with net income of $ 0.1 million, or $0.00 per diluted share, for the first quarter last year.

Quarterly Highlights During the first quarter of 1999, Entrust Technologies:

Continued building momentum on the Quick Start Pilot Program by selling 55 pilots, a 323% increase over first-quarter 1998 and a 12% increase over fourth-quarter 1998.

Received its largest contract in company history from a major insurance company. This customer will use Entrust products for both internal and Internet-based transactions.

Participated in the launch of ViaCode, the Royal Mail's secure, e-commerce service for Internet e-mail and commercial transactions, based on Entrust's PKI software.

Launched the Entrust/Alliance Developer Program, which rapidly increased the development of Entrust-Ready applications and solved complex interoperability issues in the industry.

Added major new initiatives with partners in all areas of the business, including Lotus, Novell, 3Com, Compaq, Adobe and Documentum.

Enhanced its product portfolio with the addition of Entrust/Unity, a new application for Netscape Communicator and Microsoft Internet Explorer; released an updated version of Entrust/Direct; released Entrust/Access, its VPN and remote access solution to the market; and delivered the Japanese version of Entrust/PKI.

Received the prestigious "PKI Product of the Year Award" for 1999 from Network Magazine.
