We're now looking at first-quarter consumption growth which should be in excess of five percent. So the consumer is still spending even though the March number was a little bit soft.'' Car sales slowed from an incredibly strong pace in January and February to, I guess, just a remarkable pace in March. Lee..I am still trying to lock in my my new house %%%%%%% The only way I can at this pt is to buy a 6 mo lock for aprox 3k.. I really want 6 3/4 % and no buying pts..where is the 30yr bond headed this month....It was looking better until today..How much effect does it hv on 30 yr mortgage rates
