Dear El: I have NO first hand news on AV IPO but my neighbor is a broker with Merrill Lynch. He claims that on the initial IPO CPQ will not give us ANY STOCK, nor ANY OPPORTUNITY to participate in the initial offering. Claims those shares will be a "Reward" to the big guys on the street. Says CPQ will likely hold 80% of the new company and maybe down the road spin off shares to exisiting CPQ stockholders. If he is right, that will just give me another reason to be pissed off at these idiots. JDN
