Could this explain the price run-up. This URL fifthavenuestocks.net had the following article. First time I heard of this URL was from the EDTA news released today. I note that the article incorrectly says the company prevailed.

GRC

The third new company we'd like to introduce is E-Data, Inc.
(OTC-EDTA), trading at about 30-cents per share currently.
This EDTA stock is an absolute lottery ticket. This stock will
shoot through the roof or sink like a rock in the future. The
trigger for either action is held by a U.S. Federal Court judge
or judges. If EDTA wins their case, and you own the
stock…well you just won the lottery. If, on the other hand, the
judge or judges go against EDTA, it will be a race for the sell
window for the stock. The EDTA claim is a simple one but a
major one too. EDTA claims to hold patents on the world wide
web relative to commercial transactions! The Company has
foreign patents with especially strong patent protection in
Europe. The Company has U.S. patents too and that's what's
at issue in the courts. The Company has already prevailed in
the U.S. courts once, with the Judge narrowing the scope of
the claims (this is what the company is appealing now). Like
we said, EDTA is a lottery ticket so buy some and wait to see
what happens.
