So let's compare the safety data of MUSE vs Viagra:

MUSE:

One death in 1,200,000 prescription.

Viagra:

Over 400 deaths in 9,000,000 prescriptions (domestic only)

or One death in 22,500 prescriptions.

Now those folks at Pfizer say that these Viagra induced deaths are due to the stress of sex and NOT Viagra.

We have an incidence of death that is OVER 53 TIMES HIGHER ON VIAGRA THAN MUSE!!!!!!

So when does the FDA wake up and smell the data!!! When does Washington butt out of the FDA and allow the REAL scientists to do their job????

martin,

IMHO the bottom line is that Pfizer with all of its big $$ and political influence gets away with murder while little Vivus can't even produce a TV commercial without having the FDA jump all over their back because a female voice was used in the advertisement.

Sad. Very sad. Only in America!

Do you all remember the BB company called Harvard Scientific(HVSF) that always put out those fabulous press releases? Looks like Batman was right. Another one bites the dust:

freeedgar.com

Maybe Vivus can hire whoever worked in their PR department. That person can teach Vivus a lot about how to make a good press release and how to spin positive news for all its worth.

Actually, I'm glad the HVSF story is on its final chapter. I always thought they were infringing on Vivus' transurethral patents. One less competitor(although never IMO real) is all the better for Vivus.
