mo...cpq...and apples...

think the most interesting comment was of cpq product quality..

one day, perhaps not too far away....the entrail readers of the investment (and i use this word loosely) community...will be blinded by the light that (a) the pc market is going through a natural maturing process and (b) all box makers are not created equal...finally (c)the world will accept a "stratified" market....just like it is in every other product offering in any sector...high / mid / low end offerings...something for everyone....k-mart and nieman marcus....saturn and mercedes.....samsung and sony.....bottom of the round and kobe beef.....mr twister and chateau de rothschild....e-machines and dell(now how did that get in there????)

easier for a high end producer to go "down market"....harder for a "low end" producer to go up market...perception of value and brand name is everything....here, china, india, wherever.....the very reason why vw bought the rolls royce name....who would pay 125k for a v-12 volkswagen.....

too much finite overanalysis by the doomsayers...a product is a product and a market is a market....nothing different about tech....
