Lynn: To be fair, I think he said "in" 2000. I noticed that myself because the last time he spoke of it in Febraury on European TV he said that analysts predicted $43+ billion for 1999, theefore, we were on track for $50 billion in 2000.

Remember - 1Q revenues are off 3-6%, on whether you start with the original $10 billion estimate or the lower $9.8 . So he could still make the estimates for the year.

The problem is that earnings were off 50-60% from the same revenue estimates. This fuels the criticism that he is more interested in revenues than profits.
