Don To answer your question. No, you don't deserve to be on the receiving end of anyone else's attitude. However, your or anyone's reaction to a post reflects a dynamic that involves both personalities. What one person may take as frank, another may take as arrogant, or harsh as cruel, or critical as insulting.
