C-Cube's Q1 Conference Call Goes Live on the Web
Pioneering Digital Video Company Among First to Broadcast via the Internet

MILPITAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 13, 1999--C-Cube Microsystems (Nasdaq:CUBE - news) today announced plans to broadcast its first quarter 1999 earnings conference call live on the World Wide Web.

The Webcast will begin at 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time (4:30 p.m. Eastern), on Thursday, April 15, and can be accessed on the C-Cube Website (www.c-cube.com).

To hear the Webcast, listeners will need to download the RealAudio(tm) player, which will be available free at the C-Cube site.

''Advanced, Web-based technologies have opened new doors for investor communications,'' said C-Cube Microsystems CEO Alex Balkanski. ''We're eager to take advantage of new Webcasting services, which make our live conference call available to any C-Cube shareholder with an Internet connection.''

This Webcast will mark the first live transmission of the company's regular conference call over the Internet. A recorded version of the call will be available at the C-Cube Website Investor Relations page through May 5, 1999.

The C-Cube analyst conference call will be broadcast by Vcall (www.vcall.com), which works with publicly traded companies on investor communications. To hear the conference call, listeners should visit the C-Cube Website (www.c-cube.com) approximately 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start to download the RealAudio player and to register for the conference call.
