Hope Motorola touts its AltiVec today to offset any INTC gloom MOT is expected to report decent earnings due to its phone ops but the conf call has to cover and update its PowerPC ops due to Mot's suit against INTC . An IBM executive yesterday spoke on theft of intellectual capital and recovery in what could have been a guised suggestion for INTC to make amends to MOT for stealing its Austin PowerPC brains . Problem for AAPL could be MOT doesn't want to tout its PowerPC successes today and instead may exagerate damages to bolster its INTC court case . Regardless next week's NAB looks to be a big event and AAPL is holding "server seminars" with one scheduled for Cupertino on 4/20/99 . Notice that AAPL's NAB booth is not disclosing its product .
