The verb "segue" (seg-way) means to transition smoothly from one topic to another. It's originally a musical term, but is now most often used in television.

"when any of 106 stock markets stop working its bad news for managers, because COMPAQ provides the nonstop computers and managers can't blame the computers."

Too bad they couldn't have stepped in and shut those babies down last weekend -- might have made yesterdays gap down a little shorter!

As for "how do you segue?" -- Very well thank you!

Victor - RE: How do you segue?
This is silicon valley newspeak. It refers to the action of taking an orthogonal departure from the current conversational context. Usually this happens when the speaker had little interest in the direction the original conversation was taking. No doubt it was used correctly under the circumstances.

(note that K's explanation of segue is probably more correct and (as usual) better researched...)
