I don't know who the sellers are either. That's my point - it's fruitless to try to read anything into what Goldman is doing or why their client or 's might be selling.

My point is that there could be more than one seller using Goldman. They wouldn't know who the other sellers are, so the stock could end up going lower each time Goldman comes in to sell. For each seller, it's a matter of getting your stock sold before the other guy (at a better price). Each seller won't care if the others gets a better fill on not. In this case, it's like a competition and Goldman would be the referee.

What all this means is that when you have sellers competing to get their trades done, it can artificially cause the stock to go lower than it might otherwise. Such a situation can create buying opportunities.

And please, don't keep that kind of info to yourself!
