The brandy, at the end of its long maturation process, is placed into Bordeaux red wine casks used in the manufacture of the region's renown red wine. The resultant brandy is an exquisite flavor and aroma "duet" consisting of the traditional smooth taste of brandy distilled from grapes and the deep rich flavor and nose of red wine. In an attempt to further expand the brandy market, Suntory has purposely priced the product at an affordable 2000 yen for 660ml to enable it to be readily drunk at home rather than being consigned to the top shelf of the liquor cabinet and only brought down for special occasions.
