58% increase in year over year earnings per share. For a "value" stock, that is phenomenal!!!!! (unless i got my numbers wrong)

Yup, It sure isn't negative report in my book. However, let's wait and see what kind of spin CNBC will put on it. INTC will head upward after option expiry if not sooner. Ibexx

Seagate turned in great numbers INTC beats 1st Call- So it would appear that CPQ's problems are not endemic to the PC industry. Look for a relief rally tomorrow. Lot of nervousness. CPQ has to be screwed up in that they announced their warning so close to earnings release and had to have 2 cc's to explain or excuse their incredible shortfall. It was liek having an elephant in your home and not noticing it. If the internet keeps expanding at its current rate a lot of servers are going to be sold. That consumes a lot ofdisk drives and cpu's(high end type). Although its shares are down in after hrs. due to conservative forward looking statement this is typical INTC guidance. JFD
