From CNNFN:

Intel Corp. Tuesday reported a better-than-expected first quarter profit of 57 cents a share, up from 36 cents a year ago and slightly above Wall Street's estimate of 55 cents. Revenue surged 18 percent to $7.1 billion. Intel said it expects revenue for the second quarter of 1999 to be flat to slightly down from first quarter.

This met or beat the whisper numbers so tomorrow should be good for the techs!

Steve

The earnings were good for INTC but they said on CNBC that future growth is flat.

Trading is down.

Supposedly INTC was off 2 in after hours (according to the DELL thread). IMHO, nothing in the INTC should cause the market to dive too bad, and that's what most were worried about.
