March 16, 1999 - World Tone announced today that it has decided to use Franklin Fnet to route its offnet trafic and have signed the contract. Customer of World Tone will be able to call anywhere in the world through either World Tone's VoIP network or Fnet's PSTN network. World Tone will expand the service to cover the whole world after signing the contract with Fnet. This step is very important to the customer. Combining the offnet and on net traffic allows customers using the service that will not limited to the few countries of VoIP network. In addition, World Tone has negociate the best rate with Fnet for their customer, with the rate of 20 to 40 percent lower than the other company. FNet Corp., Franklin's Internet and VoIP subsidiary, is currently deploying a global Next Generation Telephone Company which incorporates a hybrid of traditional circuit switched technology with satellite and new Internet Protocol Data Voice Gateways. The primary business of World Tone, is building the next generation VoIP network that provide added features and lower prices for the customer.
