"PAIR may well gap down tomorrow, but if the MM's were heavily shorting it today, you would not have seen the price rise as it did."

I may be wrong but I disagree. By running the price up on PAIR ( a highly watched possible takeover candidate) The MM's were able to create speculation that something was up People flocked to the stock today. PAIR has a history of disapointing and I don't believe for a minute that these #'s don't get leaked out. So if the MM's had a good Idea that PAIR would miss it makes sense to me that they would have run it up as high as the market would allow them and short as much as possible knowing they could cover in the morning and make a tidy profit. jmho, Am I missing something here?
