Del -- I didn't mean to say that the Bible was banned from public school libraries, only that it (probably) is not taught in any public school.

As for the Bible as literature, it is obvious that the Bible, as usually printed, is not reader-friendly. That is why I cited the volume we used in my 11th grade English class, which was very easy on the eyes, and hence on the mind.
