G* phones (at least the Qualcomm flavor) have the ability to report location in terms of lattitude/longitude, according to this Qualcomm fact sheet:
qualcomm.com

Since most street/highway maps don't present long/lat (at least with any precision) there's an additional step needed before the average road warrior would really get much use out this info.
