EMCEE Introduces New Wireless Internet Products WHITE HAVEN, Pa., April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- EMCEE Broadcast Products, Inc. (Nasdaq: ECIN) today introduced new wireless products for its one- and two-way wireless Internet systems. The products will be displayed in EMCEE's booth number L18102 at the upcoming National Association of Broadcasters Convention to be held in Las Vegas from April 19-22. Complementing its full line of single channel and broadband wireless Internet products, the new upstream converter, model USC-1, enables two-way wireless data transmission. Downstream and Upstream data rates can be maximized by using a total wireless Radio Frequency (RF) connection to the Internet. EMCEE will also display its new Broadband Booster, model MSE 8033D, which is used to extend the service of existing systems and provide maximum utilization of the RF frequency allocation. Based on point-to-multipoint fixed wireless RF design, the EMCEE wireless system offers businesses and consumers an RF solution for a high speed wireless connection to the Internet. The service bypasses conventional wired phone lines and does not tie up phone circuits. EMCEE's solution is currently available for establishing the "last mile" connection for homes and businesses. The system is designed to offer data rates up to 10 megabits per second which is more than 100 times faster than a traditional wired system. Through the use of bandwidth management equipment, downstream speed can be tailored to suit the individual subscribers' needs for both data rates and monthly fee structure.
