Hewlett-Packard Co. (HWP) 70 13/16 +2 7/16: computer, printer and test instruments company clarifies answers to questions posed by financial journalists in New York City; CEO Lewis E. Platt expects double-digit growth in PC shipments for the year, based on year-to-date business; Asia/Pacific region also showing signs of improvement;

Intel Corp. (INTC) 60 1/2 -3/4: --UPDATE-- stock reportedly trading down to 59 on Instinet as Q1 revenue figure is below expectations. Both Q1 EPS of $0.57 and Q2 estimate of about $0.54 (based on INTC guidance) are nevertheless near expectations as gross margins were unexpectedly high (59% in Q1 and expected to remain there in Q2). Slower top-line growth in Q1 is weighing on stock......
