>>If the market is rational, the April puts go in the money tomorrow.<<

So, buy some more further out. With your profits from CPQ puts you ought to be able to buy the company! <g>

Good call, Mike. BTW, INTC did say gross margins 57% "plus or minus a few points" giving themselves an out. Net income $2.0 billion, stock buybacks $1.3 billion and number of shares outstanding increases. Wonderful.

To put things in perspective, that less than a 100 M$ finished good increase is a little over a day of Intel's revenue and 3% of account receivable.

Tim
Biased of course

"If the market is rational"

I'd rather not pin my hopes on that!

MB:

Running hard this pm. Posted an initial comment on Myth. Back later with more. Too bad nobody out there has commented on the fact that INTC's rev line is REALLY weak, given the fact that they acquired a bunch of revs (companies) over the last while. The stock will be down in the morning. Market not in a mood for weak revs.

A large increase in earnings while revs are up a mediocre amount (y-o-y) speaks to accounting activity. As you note, interest and OTHER are significant contributors. Looks like they sold off some investments and at a profit (cash up, investments down). Internet holdings or MU? More later

Best, Earlie
