As a repoter (TV) in a previous life--I can tell you that ALL "news" people look for the negative--part of the so called balance that they feel they are giving to stories. We had a line--if "it bleeds, it leads." CNBC is unbelievable. In previous careers or stints as beat reporters, these clowns would have been the first to want to use the gooriest (spelling?) shots in their peices. Any investor who reacts to this garbage is a complete imbecile. Its about entertainment and ratings. Period.

Can someone enlighten me as to why top line growth has now become the major focus in earnings reports? Clearly unit sales have increased y/y for INTC but due to pricing pressures/seasonality, rev growth has slowed. Is it feared that a slowdown in the top line will eventually erode profitability down the line? thanks
