Submitted for your approval from the "Twilight Zone" :
Seemingly a promising young biotech company, perennially on the verge of final FDA approval for a life-saving drug, only to re-emerge as a partner in an internet biotech bookstore/portal/netbank/e-commerce company, with the new moniker of Xoma.com

Of course the announcement of this alliance will drive the shares up to unheard of heights, as CNBC will interview management (Murphy & McCamant will put in a cameo appearance) , and the shareholder's will finally have their day in the sun. As an afterthought the FDA will finally grant approval for BPI, realizing that to resist the inevitable would be the ultimate in futility. The shares will promptly sell off on the news of the approval, since Xoma might be diluting its virtual internet earnings glory to work solely in the biotech sphere of saving lives, and generating actual income. forcing a real P/E on the shares, something no self-respecting internet analyst could stand !
