I tend to disagree. You stated that <<SAL isn't buying light sources to put into their steppers -- it's the other way around: A company with a light source would buy a stepper to complete the system>>.

Currently the stepper makers (SVGI, ASMLF, Cannon, UTEK, etc) always buy the light source, integrate it in their stepper, complete the system, and sell it to chip manufacturers. It has always been this way. The stepper makers have the sales and support staffs to support the chip manufacturers. I don't see why JMAR would be the exception.
