I finished the 1997 Amended taxes, overpaid by almost $1,000. Yikes. I am most of the way through my 1998 QuickBooks, which I need to generate Schedule C. Don't even ask about Schedule D. All I need to do is figure out how much I owe, and send it in with the extension form. Right?

ADD is probably genetic. It's Attention Deficit Disorder, without hyperactivity. The best explanation I have read is that people like me are descended from hunters, we scan the horizon, unfocused, until we see prey, then we hyperfocus on it until we kill it, then go back to unfocused scanning. The other type of people are descended from farmers, they can stay focused and on-task day-to-day, and can sit still patiently waiting for things to happen. You might think it's better to be non-ADD, but try meta-focusing on everything going on at once, and you'd see why my way of looking at the world is good for some things (like trials). Very hard to do taxes, though.
